Quick Secret Santa Question....
Are we revealing in our packages who has given the gift or are we doing it online?
Could someone PM me the answer?
Thank you!

i just got a major shock.
i can't believe the new levels of cruelty possible within families who are jws.. a friend on this board who i've known since i was a baby practically has managed to get me a picture of my little sister who i haven't seen for 8 years - the one who i've mentioned my dad said was working on the bethel quick build team.
the one who i've described my fears that she and my younger sister are staying single until armageddon.
Crumpet,
Just checked back and found out about your 2 sisters. What heartless twits they are! Where is the love? Don't they know what we know.....That you are wonderful!
I'm sorry that you have to endure this kind of cruelty.
They will have a day of reckoning and have to face what they have done and how they have fallen short of true christian love....
I hope you win the lottery and make them grovel!

hi all, i have my kids coming over with friends, age range 4-9, but as if that isnt enough i need to think of some movies (films) that i could give them to watch.
i have the new harry potter, and wallace and gromit rabbit, plus charlie and the choco factory - any other suggestions!??!?!
much appreciat@ed
I know its an old one...but a lot of kids like The Goonies. My almost 6 year old loves it! He also likes the 3 stooges.
Monsters Incorporated is pretty funny.
Finding Nemo always gets a laugh from both our boys.
Elf is hysterical - our whole family loves it!
The sponge bob movie is loved by all too.

Crumpet,
I am sorry for you to find out this family news in such a hurtful way. Are you absolutely sure your sister is married? Also, can't you spread some of the anger to include your sister? I assume that she is an adult, and is responsible for herself...couldn't she choose to let you know what is happening in her life?
I know these questions don't take away the hurt feelings, but really if she is married...both your father and your sister are pretty heartless.
Big hugs to you,

are you saying that the experiences of unbaptised born-ins are of less importance than baptised born-ins and baptised walkins?.
yes thats what i'm saying.....oh boy.
wow, well tijkmo, i respect that youre brave for saying so and that's where that ends.
I will just answer the question with our family experience.
My husband has 5 sisters. All raised as JW's. Some are dunked and some are not. My SIL's that didn't do the dunk have had children while unmarried, smoke, participate in holidays and live with men. My MIL and her friends go around them and treat them like they are not doing anything wrong.
My husband and his sisters that are dunked - when they have made a mistake were treated like sh*t on the bottom of your shoes because they had been dunked and should know better and follow Jehovahs laws. Not even a meal was eaten with them.
When my husband and I lived together before being married my MIL wouldn't come over to our house because we were sinning against Jehovah..
Hubby's sister that had 3 children all while unmarried with different men and was shacking up again was treated quite well and MIL took care of her kids, and went over to their Den of Sin...because this sister didn't know any better because she wasn't dunked..
Double standards - even though they all grew up in the same house and learned the same stuff.

there are many ways that we can actively protest against the watchtower's unjust and damaging policies.
here is one example of a method that is proving successful.
writing a letter is time-consuming for the author, but the results are worth it.
Our local newspaper did a story on JW's and how moral and wonderful they are....etc. How there are no sex scandals like in the Catholic church.
I sent a rebuttal letter to the editor and the reporter. They didn't care at all.
I think a lot of people are JW sympathizers and don't even realize it.
I applaud anyone who wants to make a stand no matter how small or big.

recently i was at my mother's house -- she is queen jw of her kh (i kid you not) -- when there was a knock on the door and what do you know...it was two young women from one of the local churches out inviting people to attend services.
my mother proceeded to seriously beat the sh*t out of them with her bible knowledge and confusing chronologies.
the two women didn't back down but they soon realized they were in way over their heads.
I have heard stories from my sister in laws about when the Mormons came to visit at their house and the theocratic show down that went on....My God is bigger than You're God...etc.
My sister in law was also telling me about who they went out in service to the Sikh <sp> commune/ashram down the road from MIL's house. I still think that was one of the most stupid things I have ever heard!
If a JW goes to Italy do they stop by the Vatican and try to convert the people?
Silly rabbits....trix are for kids!

for the first time in 4 or 5 years i got a visit by the jws this morning.
i wasnt prepared at all and so handled it not so well.
bear in mind the leaflet on display just made me feel physically ill.. the woman asked if i was interested in finding out god's purpose for the future.
Ooops, sorry about the double post...clumsy hands today!
I like your new avatar! You are so pretty! The other one you had just made me hungry! LOL!
I'm sorry you got the visit....bleck! What a way to start the day.
Perhaps when they come back you could tell them it was your twin sister who hate's the jw's! LOL!
